It was a night filled with fresh beats provided by TheeDopeShow, smiles, wine, delicious coffee supplied by It’s A Grind, good conversations, wonderful contacts, and awesome 562CityLife hoodies for raffle (thanks to Red Eye Media). On Sunday night, 562CityLife held it’s first mixer. Great opportunities and tremendous talent filled The Collaborative. Wherever you turned, you saw a connection being made and that is what this event was all about. Bringing together small businesses and the arts. Below are some snapshots taken from the event. A big thank you to those who came out. It was amazing to meet all of you. Your smiles and optimism made the mixer a great introduction as to how we can all come together. Also thank you to Long Beach Community Foundation, Connected Corridor, and the John S. & James L. Knight Foundation’s Transformation Initi... for helping to fund the event through their grant program. For those who weren’t able to make this one...you won’t want to miss the next! Get ready 562CityLifers!

Comment by JON on January 28, 2011 at 12:17pm From what Matt tells me, the mixer was off-the-chain. I'm just sorry I missed it. I got caught up working out the details for my next video project.
Will definitely try to attend next time.
Looks like it was a well attended event - sorry that I had to miss it! I will definitely keep my eyes open so that I can attend the next one!
I hope you continue to have a successful 2011!

Comment by JulsnMatt1028 on January 26, 2011 at 3:02pm Really awesome night! Thank you so much to everyone for making it out. Thank you Juls for working the table, thanks to Thee Dope Show, for setting the atmosphere with the music, good job TheMan with organizing the whole event! Sander, Juls and I especially know how much it takes to step away from the very important family time, so your time is sincerely even extra valued!
So, how can we push forward to truly capitalize on the connection building and work together at making the LB Community even greater????
