It's been a great summer for live music and LBPP has had the chance to check out some of the best Long Beach and SoCal had to offer. From a reunited Sublime to Flugtag flying machines, it's been a wild summer, but the spotlight belongs to the SAM concert series and all its FREE music goodness offered up throughout the summer. A big thanks to Justin, Rand, Bobby, all the bands, and the rest of the SAM crew for making it happen! LBPP had a great time covering the events and only hopes it gets bigger and better next year.

Buskerfest marked the close of the Summer And Music concert series featuring almost 20 local bands including headliners Jay Buchanan, Crystal Antlers, and Delta Spirit. Over 15 local bands competed in the streets of Long Beach's East Village Arts District for the coveted prize of free recording time at Compound Studios but it was musician Korey Dane that took the title of wooden nickel champion of Long Beach. Dane wasn't the only winner as the crowd was treated to some of the best music Long Beach has to offer. Make sure to check out the videos of Jay, Crystal Antlers, and Delta Spirit and all the Buskers marking the end of the summer with one lasting melody.
