On January 11, 2011 the annual State of the City Address will be given by Mayor Bob Foster. This is an opportunity for the entire City to reserve your tickets (2 per household) and to listen to a year in review from the mayor. The event will be held at the Center Theater inside the Long Beach Performing Arts Center. This is basically a verbal report back from the mayor on the ups and downs Long Beach has faced in 2010.
Last year, Matt and I had the chance to attend the event as press and that was a cool experience. Space is limited and tickets are free, so hurry and reserve your space at this event.
Have you ever been to a State of the City Address before? Did you like it? What issues and concerns would you like the mayor to clarify? Let you comments be known below.
Honestly, I would like for him to talk about what other programs are going to get cut from schools, and the realistic time line for things to get back on track, maybe it's ten years, or 20 years but keep it real!
