The scene was relaxed with a mixed audience grooving to the sounds of Jay Buchanan. Booths featuring Writenowpoets.org, Found Magazine, jewelry, and button making were supplied with happy faces ready to answer questions or help you in any way. Poetry by Derrick Brown, Mindy Nettifee, Beau Sia, and Amber Tamblyn was inspiring. More music supplied by Free Moral Agents and Dj Abel filled the air. It was a wonderful feel good vibe. While all the groups gathered on the outside, filling their minds with great music and energy. There was much to be seen in the three adjoining cargo shipping containers that fenced in the crowd. The photography that filled the cargo containers were heartening, uplifting, and influential.

The Goods Gallery is composed of three adjoining cargo shipping containers. They are all connected to make a U-shape and is completely mobile. The Goods Gallery is uniquely a public-private partnership. Smolarcorp created the gallery along with ISM: a community project inc. Don't miss out on January 31st from 6 - 10pm. CSLUB will have their Back To School Art Show. I am sure this isn't one to miss! See you there.

Great to see pics. Thanks for sharing. I was too sick to go and stand outside. But I went the week before to the Debauchery show.

What a WONDERFUL write up, I love the "Mary Poppins style, just jump right into your sentence.
You Go! I purposely walked by on the way to and from meeting friends who went to see Drew Carey & the Pike then I had the pleasure of running into a rock n' roller on Pine (remember Weds @ DIpiazza's?) at Taco Beach (get your Local Music On!).

I saw Jay Buchanan, Photographer Ashley Hectus, CPO Chris Paul Overall and .. EPK and his vision - all on Broadway and LB Blvd. I was hoping I'd recognize Amber Tamblyn, who I learned about from TPSradio's G. Murray Thomas ("The Poetry Show" @ csulb's kbeach.org who I was ALSO hoping was there;) for an autograph on the 4-best-friends movie she was in. I was just gifted this past Christmas.

Some other time,.
Sigh!

I DID hear the wonderful music from a block away, walking up from Ocean and down from 3rd. You could hear the music FAR and it was good! Great Job Evan and the Smolareens.
