Red Bull Flugtag: Most Successful Event Long Beach Has Seen?

Yesterday, Downtown Long Beach was host to the Red Bull Flugtag that had a record 105,000 people show up. I was out there solo bolo like a boss, and grabbed some footage. It was tough to find a good spot to film from because of how packed it was!

The weather was hot and sunny and it was perfect for Long Beach. It reminded me again how lucky we are to live in a city that's literally "The City by the sea." Yesterday made it official that Summer is now here. There were really cool planes that dived into the harbor like You Fly Like a Girl team and the President Obama Ears.

If you were really creative, you might want to incorporate the Red Bull theme into our 562CityLife T-shirt Design Contest =)

Below is a short video of the event. Enjoy!

Awesome video coverage, Hamp. I'm not to keen on this but is the purpose to see whose plane flies the farthest?

Yea it has to be at the top. It was a huge success for Downtown. And it was free, can't do better than that...

This is got to be right there near the top. I don't know how many times I saw this event mentioned on the news.
