I am always humbled when people compliment the Art work I create. I know they like it so they want to tell me what they feel. I find it hard sometimes to take these compliments. I love doing what I do but I sometimes have a different perspective or opinion of my own work. It sucks. With that being said. I still have a following of people that request me to paint them paintings and still enjoy looking at my art. That is wonderful. I have been getting a lot of calls and e-mails lately to show my work. That is very humbling. I am so honored that someone thinks that much of my work to let me display it in an event which they are running or planning. I have been invited to Belmont Shore Art Walk Sunday October 25th @ 5804 E. 2nd Street Story Teller Productions. I will be displaying my work outside of this business. I will also be showing along in Elise's Tea Room November 6th 3924 Atlantic Avenue Bixby Knolls. Elise's Tea Room. Apparently I have some very important Art Critique from the LA Times. Yikes. I did not know I was ready for that. Ill go with the flow. The next night I am A part of a silent auction for 4NOLA Charity benefit. I will be showing my work there. There are a lot of doors opening. And I take them and enjoying them even though my fears and insecurities try and make me hide. I know in my heart these are opportunities that will lead to bigger and better things for my ultimate goal. So I embrace them. Life deals you a certain hand....sometimes we ask the dealer to re-deal. The next hand might not be as smooth as the last. We make choices. We live with these choices.

Hey there,

I haven't talked to you in a while. Congrats on the recognition. I agree, we are our won worst critic. I know what you mean about being humbled by kind words. Keep up the great art and you will go very far, and it looks like you are well on your way.

Congrats again,

Luis

Hey man, congrats on the calls, e-mails, and connections you've been making. We're our worst critic. But hey even you don't like your work, the main thing is that you LOVE doing what you do. At least you don't hate painting.

There are a lot of people in the world who hate what they do, so that's the light side of things. Get it crackin' man and shake them off!
