No Duh Rocks Battle of the Tribute Bands

Awesome...awesome...awesome! Today, I attended the Battle of the Tribute Bands which was hosted by Summer And Music. It was truly amazing. The line up of groups was one to be excited about. No Duh (tribute to No Doubt), Stepping Feet (tribute to Dave Matthews Band), The Rising (tribute to Bruce Springsteen), Vitalogy (tribute to Pearl Jam), Lights (tribute to Journey), Satisfaction (tribute to Rolling Stones), Hollywood U2 (tribute to U2), and The Cured (tribute to the Cure) were all extraordinary.

Saturday was perfect for welcoming a wonderful music festivity. The sun was shining yet it wasn't too hot and the crowd was pleasing to see. Many spectators were dancing, singing along, and just plain having fun. It was fantastic to see our Long Beach community come together to have a great time at the Nautical Band Shell in Rainbow Harbor. No Duh delighted the crowd and was awarded the winner of Battle of the Tribute Bands. They were awesome I tell you! If you were there, you know exactly what I mean.

I didn't realize that two local Long Beachers are in the Stones Tribute Band, SATISFACTION. I thought they were excellent but my friend had a prob with 3 guitars! Anyway WADE aka WADO who does an excellent sound job for MANY local bands in a vew venues AND Billy Blaze are in that band. They may have not won the money but I know they have some new fans, like me!

Also, this is a hilarious clip of the MC Winkmusselman : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dPhCdN6-mgU

We'll have rob throwing wrist bands in the audience - and I'll will stand there w/ my shades on. That will be our full set. Nothing else.

Yeah it actually surprised us, I thought it would be kind of cheesy, but a lot of people showed up and it was actually pretty fun... Hampton, I'm down for the band - I can't sing or play any instruments, but still... :)
