LB Arts Council to offer Monthly Micro Grants

Long Beach Arts Council announced today a series of grant workshops and a new Micro Grant Program. In order to support arts events, festivals, and workshops.

In an email today from the council they're providing the following details:

"Applications are now available for the Arts Council for Long Beach 2011-2012 Grant Cycle. Through four grant categories -- Professional Artist Fellowship, Community Project Grant, Operating Grant I, and Operating Grant II -- The Arts Council for Long Beach and the City of Long Beach strive to foster a vibrant arts community that generates enjoyment and civic pride for residents, stimulates the local economy and develops an appreciation for the diverse cultures throughout various neighborhoods of Long Beach.

All 2011-2012 Grant Applications are due May 30th, 2011

Please note that the Neighborhood Grant category has been replaced with our monthly Micro-Grant Program. This new grant gives you the opportunity to fund events, festivals, and workshops with a faster turnaround. The Micro-Grant Applications are due on the 15th of every month. You can apply to both the monthly Micro-Grant Program and one of the other four grants offered during the 2011-2012 Grant Cycle.

If you are applying to our grant program for the first time, you are required to attend one of the following grant workshops for new applicants.
