Well, I talked about the Easter Party. So let me bring you up to speed (really quickly) on my lastest happenings.

Last night I DJ for a "Ladies Night" at the Que Sera. It marked the beginning of Gay Pride Weekend. The Band that played was gathering of old friends that had played together before in the old days of The QUE. They only had a couple of rehearsals before last night. The Que Sera has been around for over 35 years. It started as a lesbian bar, and now caters mostly to straights. Everyday is something different (and not gay any more) from bands, to DJ dancing.

Melissa Etheridge started her career there. She actually signed her contract on the bar. Her first album mentions the Que Sera by name, and it's owner Benz in a song (Chrome Plated Heart). It's a great bar, with a great interior, fire place, stage and lights, dance floor, pool table and great bartenders.

Prior to that, I did my 420 UP IN SMOKE party. That went over really well and had a large enthusiastic crowd. After that, I did my Cinco De Mayo party. That was a blast. I played a combination of Mexican Music (traditional and modern) and Low Rider 70's classics. The crowd loved it!

After that, I did my Psychedelic show "TECHNICOLOR EAR CANDY" It went over really well. I had smoke machines, liquid light projector, lasers, and the best in Psychedelic, Garage, Glam, 60s & 70s Rock, some Soul. Love it.

My next adventures will be in a week from today, May 23rd at FERN'S COCKTAILS in Long BEACH (1253 E. 4th Street). I have 5 great bands and musicians performing for me. The D-EVOlutionaries (DEVO cover bands that really ROCKS the walls down), the amazing DEAD FLOWERS (the full band with their saw player), the sounds of Timmy Red & The Coquettes, with special guest's GHOST TOWN JENNY, and Ryan O'Melia. This is a FREE SHOW for all to come and enjoy. I hope you can make it.

After that, it's the big one that everyone is waiting for (I know I am). That will be on the last Friday of this month, Friday, May 29th 9pm at the QUE SERA (1923 E. 7th St. corners of 7th & Cherry Ave.). that night we will proudly present...RELEASE THE PUNKS:1977-1987 and what you read is what we will have. Just the first 10 years of PUNK ROCK. Nothing else will be played. So come in your leather jacket, spikes, Mohawk or green hair, and be ready to party like it's 1980 again!

Well, that's it for now. Will keep in touch soon. If you need a DJ...Let me know. If your looking for a venue to promote a show...Let me know. If your in a band and want to play...Let me know. I might be able to help you out.

Love and peace to all of you
Your friend always
