You see there is this GREAT program called the American Indian Humanitarian Foundation.

My Mom lives on the San Pasqual Indian Reservation in Valley Center (San Diego County).
Her Cousin-in-law works with the non-profit organization to help the needy families of the Pine Ridge & Rosebud Indian Reservation in South Dakota.

300% Infant Mortality Rate, highest on this continent.
85% to 95% Unemployment.
Median income is $2,600 to $3,500 per year.
Life Expectancy 48 yrs for a Male & 52 yrs for a Female.
59% homes substandard.
Teen Suicide rate 150% higher than national average.
School dropout rate 70%.
Over 60% homes have black mold fatal to infants, children & elders.
800% Diabetes & Tuberculosis.
Well water contaminated w/ industrial pesticides 60% of homes without water, electricity, adequate insulation, and sewage systems.
97% of the population lives below Federal poverty levels.
No human should have to live under these conditions especially in the USA.

"Humi has spent many years working with Native Indians in Southern California as a advocate for Civil Rights while working on Humanitarian projects within his Rez, the San Pasqual Indian Reservation. His steadfast commitment and dedication in helping our people in any capacity and his hundreds of hours of volunteer work has earned him great respect in many circles. He has taken the initiative to become a leader in Southern California while organizing numerous donation drives to help his fellow natives who are less fortunate.
His main focus has been to deliver supplies to the Pine Ridge and Rosebud Reservation, especially in the depth of winter. Those winter challenges have help to develop strong character for Humi and his relatives and friends who have assisted while exposing them to extreme poverty of other native Indians right here in the USA. His continual drive to obtain donations, to find storage and solicit transportation and expenses with help from his Rez, other casino reservations, private and public donors, his relatives and friends, has developed leadership skills worthy of a warrior for fighting for his people and all Indian people. "
