Random is good sometimes, but then other times it gets you in a little trouble girl... THIS time though random was good as LBPP randomly ended up at the wrap up video shoot of local band Free Moral Agents new single called "Little Trouble Girl", which is an awesome Sonic Youth cover from the Washing Machine album. For those that don't know Free Moral Agents is the brainchild of Ikey Owens from Mars Volta, until he decided to leave and pursue Free Moral Agents full time.As Rajh and I walked into the house, a few people were sitting around and the director Vice was already in the thick of shooting. We came as auxiliary, to just shoot some of the behind the scenes footage for FMA, but ended up being extras in the last few scenes! After dropping like a sack of potatoes till our knees were bruised and becoming the bottom of a big dog pile, we headed down to the bank for the last shot. Everyone was having a great time, even though the director was packing us in like sardines. The last shot involved 10 people all crunched in a mini van as singer Mendee crawled through all our limp bodies like a human tunnel.
All the effort will be worth it in the end, as the video looks great, and we captured some great behind-the-scenes/the-making-of type stuff for everyone to enjoy. Look for Ikey and Mendee this Thuesday as they officially release their new album at local record store and Long Beach music mecca Fingerprints. They will be doing a live performance in-store as well as previewing the new video I believe, but its limited capacity, so call Fingerprints to get on the list and for more details. Stay out of trouble little girls!
