On Wednesday I had the very cool opportunity to attend the Nerd Mixer at Secret Passages Bookstore. Did I mention that they are 562CityLifers as well? Visit their profile and show some love by leaving them a comment or drop by their store which is located at 406 E. 3rd St. Unit A in downtown Long Beach. I felt like I was in a forest where I can experience my coolest day dreams by indulging in the tons of books they had there. Being the unofficial president of the Anime/Manga Fans Unite Group on 562CityLife, I was honored to attend this event as a nerd representative. Next time, I'll do my best to grab as many people from the group to attend with me. Even when the event was over, I was talking about what I would like to call "superhero theory" and getting tips on what show I should watch next.
562CityLife is in part funded by a Long Beach Community Foundation Connected Corridor grant supported by the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation's Transformation Initiative.

Comment by JulsnMatt1028 on February 18, 2011 at 2:01pm Ifor one love geeking out at this store. If they don't have something you like already they'll help you find it too. They found me an old school Star Wars Pop-up book that I used to have as a kid.
They also give away one free comic book to kids per visit!
