As my cloudy Sunday began, one thought entered my head. I wonder how the First Annual 4th Street In Motion festival will be? Considering I had chosen my Mother’s Day fun for the day and it was based around this festival. When we arrived, it was awesome to see 4th blocked off from Junipero to Cherry. The bike valet was filled and many roamed 4th. Lola’s Mexican Restaurant had their beer garden jammed and Ashley’s Bar & Grill were serving up delicious burritos. Bear Face, They Are The Eggman, The Champanties, The Commotions, and DJ KatoSpace graced their presence on The Pike Music Stage. The Long Beach Roller Derby girls entertained and had the crowed cheering as the “Shoot the Duck” contest got underway. Rock climbing (sponsored by Kafe Neo) for the little ones had me in awe at how high these kids could go...didn’t they look down and freak?!? Haha Numerous booths lined the street. From Atlantic Studio Hair Salon to Nirve, there was much to see! To end my wonderful visit to 4th, I stopped by to chat with Pete, owner of the best children’s boutique in LA, of Lil Devils boutique. It was definitely agreed, 4th Street needs to have more of these great festivals that make everyone get out, enjoy their day, and smile!
Below are some photos I took of the event. Look through and enjoy!
As always
