Ok. I will admit it; I am a reality show junkie, and I watch some of the worst ones. "Charm School" anyone? I expect these to be over the top and hoping to shock the viewers. So, when I heard about "More to Love" and the premise of the show, I was intrigued. A show about people who are not a size 2 who are looking for love ala "The Bachelor" (it is from the producers of "The Bachelor") . And according to the promo: "Because size doesn't matter".
So, when I turned it on, five minutes or so into the program, low and behold, as the women exit the limo, their age, height and WEIGHT are flashed on the screen. HOW HYPOCRITICAL! If size doesn't matter, don't tell me how much they weigh! We don't know how much the women on "The Bachelor" weigh or the size of the men's penises on "The Bacelorette"! This is not a show about the contestants losing weight. They are looking for love (ok, I know... what are the chances they actually find true love. I will save that for another time.) So, I do not need to know this information.
It really pissed me off. I immediately sent out a tweet proclaiming my disgust. I also sent an email to Fox, and gave them...my two cents.
