The Long Beach Experiment

For the past few days, an event/posting kept popping up on my Facebook. Everywhere I looked “Long Beach Experiment” was there. So....I had to check it out. And with one simple email to Efren Luna (curator, co-producer, and promoter for the show), I found out how amazing this project is!

The Long Beach Experiment began in 2009 and was a once a month event at the old Blue Cafe. Until Efren Luna proposed the idea to Chris (Creator of the show, from Rebel Kat Ent) to do the… Continue

City Life Posers

Today we learned that a publication called “CityLifeLB” will be distributed beginning September/October. We wanted to make sure and put the word out that this publication is in no way, shape, or form affiliated with 562citylife.com. Additionally, we feel that given the similarity in content focus, publication title, color scheme, and overall concept that this is a direct rip off of the hard work and sweat that members of the citylife family have put into this project for the past… Continue

1st Annual "4th Street In Motion"

As my cloudy Sunday began, one thought entered my head. I wonder how the First Annual 4th Street In Motion festival will be? Considering I had chosen my Mother’s Day fun for the day and it was based around this festival. When we arrived, it was awesome to see 4th blocked off from Junipero to Cherry. The bike valet was filled and many roamed 4th. Lola’s Mexican Restaurant had their beer garden jammed and Ashley’s Bar & Grill were serving up delicious burritos. Bear Face, They Are… Continue

First Fridays In Bixby Knolls

This past Friday (the 6th) was my first time attending First Fridays in Bixby Knolls. The only word that comes to my mind is inspiring. It was incredible. The formal gallery portion of the Expo Center was filled with awesome Day of The Dead art, and in the large open spaced room which formerly acted as a furniture gallery in a retail space capacity, live art created energy and spark that only the act of watching… Continue
