Smoking in Long Beach Parks is Now Against The Law

Last night's City Council meeting voted on a city-wide ban on smoking in public parks. If you're caught smoking anything at a park in Long Beach, you'll be hit with a $100 the first time, $200 the next time and $500 for each violation after the first two. I don't smoke, so it doesn't really change anything for me, but for those of you who do, how do you feel about this?

The Heat Ain't Over

What's up CityLifers? Yesterday's 108 degrees of heat, was felt by everyone in the LB. Today should be no different, according to the Associated Press. The article says that it will be hot as hell today, but temperatures will be lower than it was on Monday.
