I'm back with another post and this time I am asking as to why you are not gardening. I ran a google search for reasons to not garden but did not find anything that satisfied me.
It may be space that is an issue but there are ways around it. You can try container gardening and you can start by reading my post about the subject here. There are many posts and information out… Continue
Yesterday I went to check out the homie, Adam Hass' very first art exhibit called, Remnant Visions. I had no idea how much art work Adam had and I thought that was really cool. The turn out was tight and there were some good snacks. Which I didn't eat any because I'm on my "no-carb" diet thanks to Jahaziel Romero from Red Eye Media, the same guys who are sponsoring our… Continue
Is there a place in Long Beach that you dread making a left hand turn or crossing because you've alost hit or been hit? Well that's what this blog is about today, to inform you of those danger spots. So today, I was rollin' around in the LBC and I had a few close calls... By close calls I mean near death experiences aka car crashes. Well maybe not near death, but I've been in a horrible motorcycle accident on Mother's Day of '07 so I know what it feels like to get close to being… Continue
Alright 562citylife.com - I've been wanting to share some of my previous writing work before, but didn't have the right forum, or the right mindset. It's rare for me to share my pieces, just cause i fear the criticism, but being that this is a very artistic site, let me know what you guys think. If you guys like it I will post more up, if not... lol...well... then... i will just hide in shame under my… Continue
UPDATE: I got word late this afternoon that Sara was found safe. I don't know the details, but I'm just so happy she's home safe. THANK YOU to everyone who retweeted and reposted! It's wonderful to know there are some good people out there still.
Everyone, I got word this morning that my friend’s daughter is missing. Here was the original posting on Facebook by Michael’s stepmom:
“ATTN Los Angeles County! My friends daughter is missing. She did not come… Continue
So I'm sitting here at It's a Grind in Bixby Knolls, no more than 15 minutes and I already come across a couple of cool things. The first thing is as soon as I walk in, there's a dude sitting here wearing a 562CityLife/Red Eye Media T-shirt! The first thing I think is, "Hell yeah!" Not so long after I get an e-mail from Matt "The Truth" Saunders…Continue
I have finally gotten back to do shooting for my "rubber duck series" and plan on finishing it. I mentioned this series in previous blog posts and created a gallery on my website here for it. This series has been popular and I have requests to keep adding to it. I tried to put them in order in the gallery but it may not be correct.

Late again and this time it cost me! As we walked down towards Gladstones I realized how incredibly packed this small harbor was. The lighthouse park where I had originally intended to set up was so thick with people you couldn't even tell they were standing on grass! Long Beach set a record for the RedBull Flugtag in attendance, with over 105,000, but there were no flight records set as not ONE team achieved successful flight. It was funny as hell though…
Yesterday, Downtown Long Beach was host to the Red Bull Flugtag that had a record 105,000 people show up. I was out there solo bolo like a boss, and grabbed some footage. It was tough to find a good spot to film from because of how packed it was!
The weather was hot and sunny and it was perfect for Long Beach. It reminded… Continue
I think everyone needs to know about The Infinite, a yoga and sacred movement studio that just opened at 517 Pine Avenue. In addition to yoga, Thai acro yoga and pilates, they offer afro-fusion dance, bellydance, POI, and hula hoop classes.
They're a non-profit organization, and all classes are by donation!!! While they suggest $11, no one is ever turned away for lack of funds.
Did I mention The Infinite is open 7 days a week? I'm taking a hula hoop class tomorrow, Sunday,… Continue

On October 17, 2010, over 15,000 walkers will participate in CHOC Walk In The Park. And you can have your name seen by thousands of those walkers.
I'll be designing a special walk shirt for our family team, Mikk's Kid Krusaders. We're also going to have a small banner or sign with our team name. Each shirt and banner will have a list of our donors, and…
The last few weekends have been a live music frenzy in Long Beach with SO much going on. I had a chance to check out a very important show we had mentioned on the site a few weeks back. The tribute show for Peter Sirimarco was an all day venture held at Di Piazza's with some big name hip hop acts including Ugly Duckling, Philieano, Loony Bin, and Pete's band Prominent Sons to name a few. Check out the video from the show and show your support for local… Continue

Yesterday I was invited to an event by a good friend of mine, David Leonard at Martin Luther King Park. He's been telling me to hit this event up every Wednesday, but I've been flaking out on him but I had good reasons(excuses)! I think... Anyways, I was glad I went to the event, because it reminded me that everywhere in Long Beach, people are trying to share and bring the diversity of this city together. There were different ages, races, and people from all kinds of backgrounds that… Continue
