Local Artist’s Work at El Dorado Nature Center at El Dorado Nature Center Museum

July 6, 2013 to July 31, 2013
Long Beach artist Timothy Bulone’s work will hang at the El Dorado Nature Center here beginning Saturday, July 6. I think of it as photographic art and of myself as an artist working in photography. I am so thankful…See More

Legendary V.I.P. World Famous Records Closes Shop

It's seems like times are definitely changing. Not sure if it's for the good or bad or whatever. But definitely, the closing of the world famous V.I.P. record store is in my opinion, another defeat in Long Beach's small business scene. For those who don't know (which I hope aren't many of you CIty Lifers), V.I.P. is home to many old school hip hop videos that featured Warren G, Snoop, Nate Dogg, and more. Remember this video?     To be…See More

Governor says "Drought Over", but Mayor Foster accepts further water conservation challenge.

I don't always agree with Mayor Foster, see almost any position he takes in agreement with the LB Chamber of Commerce, but here's one thing I think we should all take his side on. Even though Governor Brown has proclaimed an end the CA drought, we should still continue to support strong water…

Join the play development process at ICT - FREE Staged Reading

Join in the play development process with International City Theatre! If you have never been to a reading, it is a very interesting and unique way to experience theatre. There is no set, minimal props, and the actors have their scripts in front of them as they read their lines. For a regional theatre like ICT, staged readings allow for them to accomplish two things: 1) It is a wonderful way for playwrights to get honest feedback about their play. After the reading,…
