No, we are still trying to pick up the running team and fitness group since after the holidays, everyone seems to have dropped off. We are attempting to do some more advertising to let everyone know we are here and offering free training and fitness for the city of Long Beach.
I haven't heard of Shadow for Train4Autism but I have heard of Train4Autism. One of our previous members ran the 5K Race last year at the Long Beach Marathon for Train4Autism.

Summer 2011 will be home in Uganda Representing Long Beach California and forming Autism In Uganda.
I am a Single Parent. My youngest son is 3 1/2 and is Autistic. 2 years ago when he was diagnosed I couldn't find any families to connect with. I couldn't find any activities in our area that were Autism related. So beginning of last year I created the Facebook page Autism in Long Beach. I began reaching out to other families and planning my own events. I have had three picnics at Bixby Park this year. Including a back to school picnic where I gave out donated backpacks and School Supplies. I also had an Autism Author Speak and the Director of Autism Education at Enzymedica (biomed advocate) speak. I have recently hired a Non Profit Advisor to work on my Non-Profit 501(c) status so Autism In Long Beach can expand into a Non Profit Business.
I am also a Parent Advocate for The Autspot. TheAUTSPOT Foundation was founded in 2009 by Greg Koltsov and Dele Popoola and was inspired by Dele’s 19 year old cousin, Matthew, who is on the autism spectrum. We realize how difficult it can be for parents and caretakers to provide the financial support for the treatments and therapies for their loved ones on the autism spectrum. Our foundation is dedicated towards helping families attain the financial means that they need to help their children receive the proper treatment and training. We know that with your help and with the efforts of the autism community, we can help many families receive the services that they need and deserve!
