LDFD is based out of Dallas, TX. Don't know much more about him, but I'm DIGGIN this! Utilizing a sped up vocal sample from Janet Jackson's "Go Deep" (whaaaa?!), there's a relevant electronic sound here, but sounds so much more soulful than just any wobbly dubstep track.

Bombino was one of the artists who I didn't not know about when I went to go see Stevie Wonder at the Hollywood Bowl two weekends ago. Although he was the first act, he MURDERED it. Pure talent right here, representing the Tuareg culture of Northern Africa.
Found this live version, which is part of a documentary that I NOW have to get.
