Long Beach artist Timothy Bulone’s work will hang at the El Dorado Nature Center here beginning Saturday, July 6. About Me:
ABOUT US

Community Soles is a charity based training team designed to raise funds and awareness collaboratively with other non profit organizations. The team is comprised of a group of people from ALL LEVELS of athletic ability, from the BEGINNER to the ATHLETE. We train our minds and bodies to Walk, Run, Swim, or Bike in local active events and fundraise for very much needed programs & services. Unlike other charity based teams, we structure our fundraising system on incentives, not contracts. Participants are encouraged to fundraise through contributions made to a personalized website and donations sent by mail.

WHAT WE STAND FOR
Community Soles is founded in the promotion, building & fostering of Healthy Minds & Bodies. Our goal is to support our community based groups & organizations dedicated to the provision of valuable programs, services & education which satisfy the needs of the community.

HOW WE WILL ACCOMPLISH IT
Community Soles believes working together as a TEAM is the best method of achieving the needs of our community. In doing so, we ultimately empower ourselves as individuals, as a group and then as a community.

WHERE DID WE COME FROM
In 2009, a group of volunteers partnered with The Salvation Army of Long Beach, CA to help raise awareness of the detrimentally low levels of our local food banks. Our goal was to develop and promote a 5K event called the Long Beach Unity 5k Walk/Run, in order to raise funds and food donations for the Salvation Army. Soon thereafter this selflessly dedicated group of volunteers determined there was a need in our community to assist local groups and charities in their own goals & missions. From this, Community Soles was manifested.

Are you going to be at Race on the Base next weekend? My 4 year old is running his first kids race with a Shadow for Train4Autism. Have you heard of them? They have a listing of Non-Profits you can donate to when you run for them. You should see if you can get on the list. Email info@train4autism.org ask his name is Ben Fesagaiga tell him Jane from Autism In Long Beach sent you.
