Bryan O. Parker is a proud municipal government employee who coordinates leisure activities for youth and adults in various urbanized communities. Bryan is currently employed as Community Center Director at Wilson Park Community Center in the City of Compton, California. His main task is to ensure the Center provides a safe and nurturing environment where young people can grow and thrive. In addition to planning and directing recreational services, he has also served as a recognized liaison and support to the city's Youth Council, as well as Commission on Aging. He continues to demonstrate a passion and a sincere respect for community enhancement & development by volunteering to mentor at risk youth. Since a young age, Bryan has always known that he wanted to be in a profession where he could help improve the conditions of his community, aid in the development of the community's overall vision, and implement that vision into a viable plan of action.

Bryan feels there is no profession that exists in which people are afforded opportunities to touch the lives of others in the manner that being a public servant does. He also recognizes that quality public service demands one's dedicated commitment to others and their general welfare... He further believes that one of his greatest challenges is combating youth hopelessness. As a result, he has developed a renewed commitment to offering spiritual guidance to youth & young adults that build a strong sense of community pride and willingness to participate in civic activities.

Bryan O. Parker is a native of Los Angeles and a graduate of La Jolla National University where he received his Master's degree in Public Administration with an emphasis in Organizational Leadership. In addition to receiving Associate degrees from Compton Community College (Science) and El Camino College (Arts), he has Bachelor degrees in Recreation Administration, as well as Psychology from California State University, Dominguez Hills. He also earned a Certificate of Completion in Child Development Bilingual/Bi-Cultural Education from Los Angeles Southwest College.
