Permalink Reply by JON on June 21, 2010 at 1:29pm Nine to Five (I can pretty much quote the entire movie word for word)
The Birdcage (I use the line "I am sweating like some sort of farm animal" pretty much anytime it is hot outside - Robin Williams best comedy in my opinion)
Addams Family Values (some of the best one liners ever!! Gomez:"Look he has my father's eyes" , Morticia: "Gomez! Take those out of his mouth!" lolz)
Ferris Bueller's Day Off (definitely a John Hughes classic - and Ferris' house is right here in the LBC too!)
Airplane (another movie that I pretty much know word for word)
and yes, all comedies, but I have to say I am a big disaster flick and Si-Fi movie geek too, so I would have to say these are my faves in those genres:
Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan (my fave with the original crew of the Enterprise, but First Contact was another amazing movie in the ST franchise, and the new Star Trek redux was pretty fantastic also)
The Poseidon Adventure (original only, thank you! and a shout out to the Queen Mary - all of the scenes before the ship flips were filmed onboard our own LB icon)
Alive (amazing story of survival)
Donnie Darko
Planet of the Apes (again, original only, thank you - not sure what that Marky Mark piece of crap was all about!)
but damn, I am a huge fan of horror movies too, so I gotta say my top 5 in that category would have to be:
Jaws (I still don't like to go swimming in the ocean and it actually had a pretty damn good sequel)
Halloween
The Birds
Aliens (Game over man, game over!)
Dawn of the Dead (the remake kicks ass, although I am a huge zombie fan so NOTLD, 28 Days Later, Zombieland, you name it, I am cravin' braaaaiiiiinnnnnsssss)
