This is geared to everyone.

What would you consider a reasonable donation to have your name or business logo on someone's shirt for a major charity walk?

For individuals, what would you consider reasonable? $1? $5?

For businesses, same thing? Is $10 too high or too low?

I'm doing the Ronald McDonald House Walk For Kids on April 11. It's a HUGE event at Universal Studios. A friend had the idea to sell spots on my t-shirt, plus maybe a sign. I think it's a cute idea, but I don't know what to charge.

Thoughts? Ideas?

Hi Heather! Congratulations on doing the Walk for Kids!

There are both charitable and promotional benefits of sponsoring someone in such a way - it supports a great cause, and it gets your name/logo out there. As such I think the prices you quote are completely reasonable - perhaps a bit low, even.

I'm sure if you contact some local charitable businesses and tell them about the beneficiary, where their money is going, what the walk is for, etc., you'd get donations in the $10 - $20 range, and that's WITHOUT wearing their logo on your shirt. $20-$25 seems a fair donation for such a sponsorship - again, it goes towards a great cause, while essentially making you a valuable walking commercial.

Send us a 562CityLife message and give us details on how we can sponsor you - we'd be happy to support you and Ronald McDonald House Walk for Kids.

I will do that! I may do the sponsorships for the CHOC Walk In The Park in October at Disneyland. That's a HUGE event, & I definitely want to fundraise more. Thank you!
