Local Artist’s Work at El Dorado Nature Center at El Dorado Nature Center Museum

July 6, 2013 to July 31, 2013
Long Beach artist Timothy Bulone’s work will hang at the El Dorado Nature Center here beginning Saturday, July 6. Bulone creates each of his images by starting with a digital photograph, then using a variety of computer programs to render them into art that is “more representational, more evocative, and more revelatory” than the original photo, he says. "Digital art sounds much too cold to me. I think of it as photographic art and of myself as an artist working in photography. I am so thankful…See More

Legendary V.I.P. World Famous Records Closes Shop

It's seems like times are definitely changing. Not sure if it's for the good or bad or whatever. But definitely, the closing of the world famous V.I.P. record store is in my opinion, another defeat in Long Beach's small business scene. For those who don't know (which I hope aren't many of you CIty Lifers), V.I.P. is home to many old school hip hop videos that featured Warren G, Snoop, Nate Dogg, and more. Remember this video?     To be…See More

Ok, so I found this article about this woman who was able to get Paul McCartney (living legend mind you)to sign her arm so she should could get it tattooed. Lucky woman! Her name is Audrey McCombs and she is from Fortuna, CA. She did follow through and had it tattooed. To read the full story click here.

Now, my question to you guys is:
Is getting an autograph tattooed on your body a do or a don't?
What autograph would you have tattooed?

Hmm man that's a hard one. I guess it depends. It think it's easier for girls to get that, like how would I look as a man with Ashton Kutcher's name autographed on my arm? No bueno
You go first, and then we will... :)
I see your point @ the Man. I am not even sure I could get that one done...I love New Kids On The Block and all...but a big Donnie autography tattooed on me...don't think so. Maybe if the autograph was from a legend. What about Mohammad Ali? Or someone of that status....he is legend!! :)
I'm trying to think as well... I wouldn't rule it out, but it would have to be someone pretty dam cool.
Maybe a Michael Jackson RIP tatt but I dunno about his autograph.
oh yea I've never had a tattoo before so if I ever get one it would have to be something tight, not an autograph
Tattoo Rule#1 No names!!

To me that will include autographs, unless it was Jesus...then hel err I mean Holy yeah!
the people if i ran into, i would tattoo their autograph
bob Marley
DJ Kool Herc
Africa Bambatta
Che
Aung San Su kyi
Richard Aoki
Bobby Seal
Tupac
Mumia-Abu Jamal
Huey P Newton
Mohamed Ali
Yuri Kochiyama

For some reason it's been a very large list of black men haha.
all in all i think its a better idea than a girl's name.
I'm with @LB Chica on this one...#1 rule = NO NAMES ha ha haz!
what if you got that persons autograph tattooed on you and then they did something really horrible later on in life??
oh yikes! I did not even think about that one!
Only if it was someone who made a substantial contribution to my life, but most of those folks have come and gone, like Johnny Cash or Andy Warhol.
i have an autograph tattoo, its with the album cover and lyrics of my favorite song. i dont regret it one bit. in fact i love it that much more. i have a pic of my arm and the arm of the guy. its pretty rad :)
