I'm sure plenty of you heard about this, but I've been meaning to get on here and hear what everyones thoughts are.
Some cop got fired five years ago for not following procedure and killing an unarmed man. Yes, the man was drunk and high off that stuff, but he needed to be arrested and put into rehab, not killed. Now, five years later this ex-cop gets a second chance and he's going to be allowed to not only become a cop again but carry a firearm again. What's up with the cops getting second chances??? If any citizen killed someone because they felt their life was threatened they would go to jail for life because of the other person being unarmed.
i hate double standards and if this guy can catch a break because his appeals were exhausted then why can't the rest of us? why can't all these ex-cons get that second chance and get a good job without worrying about their previous record? this guy does not need to be back on the squad, he needs to suffer like the rest of the people in this world who screw up as bad as he did. if he can't follow procedures and needs to bring out his gun as soon as he steps out his cop car then i sure don't want him being my "protector"..
okay, i've vented. who else has thoughts on this? if you aint heard the news then check out this link below:
