DESCRIPTION:On Wednesday, December 14, 7:30 pm, Zen master Charles Ten
 shin Fletcher, Roshi, abbot of the Yokoji Zen Mountain Center will giv
 e a public talk titled: ZEN and Everyday life.\nThis is a unique occas
 ion to listen and interact with an established and respected Zen maste
 r. The Yokoji Zen center is one of the few Zen training centers recogn
 ized by the Japanese Soto authorities, who also gave Tenshin Roshi the
  honorary title of Kokusaifukyoshi (Official Foreign Representative).
   \n            Refreshments will be offered before the ta
 lk and there will be ample time for discussion during and after the ta
 lk. Tenshin Roshi prefers Q&A sessions over lecturing Zen.  Prior to 
 the talk, there will be two periods of half-hour zazen (sitting zen), 
 starting at 6:30 pm. Instruction will be provided for those who medita
 te for the first time. This event is free, donations are highly apprec

  take place at the Zen group’s regular meeting place at the Neighbor
 hood United Methodist Church, 507 Pacific Avenue, Long Beach, Ca 90802
 .\n            The Yokoji-Long Beach Zen group is a rapidly
  growing meditation group, affiliated with the Yokoji-Mountain Zen Cen
 ter in the San Jacinto Mountains near Idyllwild, Ca.  The group welco
 mes everybody to their Zazen session on Thursday evening, 7:00pm and S
 aturday morning 9:00pm. The group intends to expand the zazen sessions
