FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
GLEE-Like Opportunity Expanded For Young Adults
LONG BEACH – With continued success by FOX’s hit television show GLEE, a new community-based show choir in Long Beach hopes to advance an appreciation of the arts while giving the community a fun artistic outlet for entertainment. Catalyst Community and Harville Vocal Studio have partnered together to launch “Urban Rhythm.” The organizing team recently decided to expand eligibility for the show choir to include high school-aged teens through young adults up to age 25. Auditions will be held on Friday, June 18, 2010 from 4:00 – 8:00pm at Hancock University Art & Design Center, 1600 Long Beach Blvd, Long Beach, CA 90813. Applicants will need to fill out an audition application located at www.GoCatalyst.org.
Weekly rehearsals will take place through the summer months to prepare the show choir for fall and winter performances. New choir director Earl Harville says, “This group will give teens and young adults an opportunity to express themselves creatively as well as serve the community as ambassadors of the arts.”
