The Arts Council for Long Beach is hosting an arts education summit on March 27th at the Maya Hotel, in downtown Long Beach.

In recognition of the value of arts in education, one of the goals in the Create Long Beach plan is for the Arts Council to “convene a City-wide ‘summit’ on cultural education and advocacy with the participation of parents, students, teachers, and school administrators.” This summit is already set to occur on March 27, 2010.

The one-day Arts Education summit for the benefit of all stakeholders, from teachers, students, parents and community members, focusing on building support for and understanding of the benefits of arts learning for young people through public programs and targeted research.
