An altar is a form of personal temple, a place of worship, a place to connect us to the Divine; it can be used as a focal tool for meditation, a reminder of the sacred, and a place from which we send our prayers, wishes, and requests out into the Universe. Regardless of your background, an altar is a way to create a conscious connection between you and the Divine. Altars can be the focal point of a room, they can blend in with your decor, they can even be in a cupboard or armoire; your personal altar should be constructed to fit in with your life.
Please join Ayamanatara for an afternoon workshop as we discuss various types of altars and how to use them, culminating in each student designing or redesigning their own altar. Please bring a cloth (at least 2ftx2ft), something to represent Earth, Water, Fire, Air, and Spirit, and any power items you hold sacred that you might want to include in your altar. You may also find it helpful to bring a journal or sketchbook.
Ayamanatara has been working to further people's personal and spiritual growth for over 15 years. She has studied with a Tibetan Lama, a Peruvian Curandera, and one of the world's foremost authorities on crystal healing, as well as a myriad of other, wonderful and accomplished teachers. She is a nationally-renowned author, healer, teacher, trance channel, clairvoyant, mystery school initiate, kabbalist, and animal communicator, as well as being an ordained interfaith minister. She teaches meditation, various forms of healing, channeling, and personal transformation techniques; leads Sacred Space workshops; and produces programs geared specifically toward health practitioners and educators. Her latest guided meditation CD, The Source, is available for purchase here at the Studio. Ayamanatara loves to help people gain insight into themselves and the world around them, because then “they can find their joy, and nothing is better than that.”
